Events this week in Qatar October 8 -14
Qatar is gearing up for yet another exhilarating week filled with star-studded shows, sports and more. Motorheads in Qatar can catch all the excitement at the Geneva International Motor Show or enjoy the miniature car collection at the Flatsixaddict exhibition. All the sporting action head over to the Al Bidda Park for the Expo 2023 Doha Challenger Basketball or you can catch the Qatar Masters chess tournament that will kick off later in the week.

Geneva International Motor Show
GIMS Qatar continues to enthrall visitors with its extraordinary showcase of some of the finest in automobiles. From the classics to the futuristic, there is something for everyone at the Geneva International Motor Show. While the focus might be at the main exhibition at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), the immersive events at other locations also provide visitors with a fun experience. With over 30 of the world renowned automotive brands showcasing their latest creations, this one is not to be missed.

Katara Festival for Arabic Novel 2023
Pay homage to literary personalities of the Arab world during the Katara Festival for Arabic Novel 2023. The Festival will include a book fair of Arabic novels and novels translated into English and French, a ceremony for distribution of the Katara prize for the Arabic Novel to the winners and a book signing event. A speech by this year’s personality, writer and novelist Ihsan Abdel Quddous where he would speak about his biography and published novels that were converted into movies, is the highlight of the event.

3X3 Expo 2023 Doha Challenger Basketball
Basketball fans can watch their favorite stars in action at the Al Bidda Park as part of the EXPO 2023. The basketball stars from the USA, Philippines and Europe will be competing at the Doha EXPO Challenger. Not to be missed.

Flatsixaddict Exhibition
Get your Porsche fix this week with the Flatsixaddict Exhibition at Katara. The exhibition features 50 model Porsche cars from the private collection of Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahmane al-Thani. The exhibition brings together not just car models, but also parts, engines, tools, and accessories from the different Porsche generations.

ICC Bazaar
Visit the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) for the ICC Bazaar with festive stalls selling everything from traditional Indian clothes, jewelry, household commodities and artworks. Food stalls serving Indian delicacies and a Henna stalls are the other highlights. Its free to enter.
