From Kuwait to Qatar - Aghani Al Mosalsalat 

Enjoy the spectacular live performance of the Kuwaiti hit show Aghani Al Mosalsalat and take a trip down memory lane as you enjoy the melodies of popular Arabic and GCC TV series from the early 1970s through to the 2020s. The two-hour performance will feature a 50-member ensemble of musicians and singers, all guided by the renowned Kuwaiti maestro Dr. Khalid Nouri.

Zeyara with Zumra: A holistic approach to health and wellness

Mobile Product Photography 

Improve your skills of mobile photography with coach Abdullah Hamdan Al Mannai over a three-day workshop covering the basics of mobile photography and creative aesthetics. The course will include theoretical and practical training to photograph products professionally and a certificate of attendance upon completion.

Back to the 80’s & 90’s 

Step into the nostalgic 80’s and 90’s at the Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha and dance to the beats of the popular hits by Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and more. You are encouraged to dress in your best retro outfits to have an unforgettable experience. Tickets are priced at QAR 150 and can be bought at Virgin Megastore.

GiGi De Lana and the Gigi vibes 

The Filipino community in Qatar can rejoice as popular Filipino band Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes is all set to put on a thrilling performance at the Al Gharafa Sports Club this week.

Gulf folk meets the Philharmonic 

The well-renowned Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra is set to open the 2023/24 season with a unique musical event preserving and enhancing Gulf folk music by intertwining traditional styles with a Western orchestra. Led by distinguished Uzbek conductor Kamoliddin Urinbaev, the music will emphasize Qatar's rich maritime history with a traditional form of music associated with Pearl divers and the sea.

“The Present: The Future of the Past” exhibition 

Head over to Doha Fire Station to watch over 31 artists-in-residence at their studios along with their finished masterpieces and works-in-progress. The works aim to bridge the gap between the chaotic, creative process which is a personal experience in the studio, and the final artwork that is showcased in the galleries.

Hello Summer event at Tawar Mall 

This weekend, Tawar Mall is rolling out the red carpet for their Hello Summer event! Bookclub meetup –The Doha Book Club 

Booklovers unite at the Doha Book Club’s next meetup that is happening this Saturday. This weekend, the book club discusses the two books, “The Unhoneymooners” by Christina Lauren and “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. Its free to attend and you will be sure to enjoy the thought-provoking discussions about the book and play a couple of bookish games.

Indonesia Indie Summer Hits 

Doha Film Institute, along with Years of Culture is presenting Indonesia Indie Summer Hits this weekend where three cinematic movies by established and emerging filmmakers will be showcased to depict a different style of storytelling. The movies are—“Before, Now and Then”, “Galang”, and “Mecca, I’m Coming”.

Location: Museum of Islamic Art  

Access: Free to attend. Booking online is necessary 

Illustrating Islamic Objects 

Children aged 15 – 18 years are invited to come enjoy a class on illustrations at MIA. The workshop, led by Maryam Al Majid, will allow participants to choose pieces from the museum’s comprehensive collection and learn to replicate them with paints, pastels or markers.

FI Roundup -- Lusail Circuit

Lusail Circuit is hosting an F1 Roundup across Qatar's iconic places in anticipation of the upcoming Qatar Airways Formula One Qatar 2023 Grand Prix and this includes many fun events and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Each weekend the F1 roundup will happen at a different place and will witness the excitement of the public as they get to watch cool stuff happening at these roundup events.
