Its another weekend in Qatar and we have loads of fun lined up for you this time. From a comic art workshop to a dates festival to Spongebob Squarepants, its all happening at the Expo 2023 this weekend. You can also do your bit for the children in Palestine by going to a fun-fair with your children, all proceeds go to Gaza. The hippophiles can head to Al Shaqab to watch the steads in action while the athletes can test their mettle at a running race.

Comic Art Workshop by the Lakes International Comic Art Festival

Part of the 8th Qatar UK Festival, facilitated by the British Council, Comic Art Workshop by the Lakes International Comic Art Festival (LICAF) will center on the themes of sustainability and children can explore and create artwork based on environment. A fashion show showcasing designs crafted from recycled materials will be one of the highlights of the event.

QRS Fall Edition Race 1

Want to test your endurance levels? Participate in the four-race series at QRS Fall Edition with distances ranging from 800m to 10k. The races are open to adults and children with different age-wise categories – Adults – 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers and 2.5 kilometers and for Children – 2.5 kilometers and 800 meters. The races will be restricted to a maximum of 300 participants so register now.

Children Above All

A community event organized by the Education Above All Foundation, Children Above All aims to raise awareness about the plight of children affected by the war in Gaza, provide support to them by raising funds for the cause. There will be many family-friendly activities including sports, food and games, with all proceeds going towards children in Gaza.

If you love horses and sports, head to Al Shaqab for the Al Shaqab International League Championship. A spectacular sporting event showcasing the skills of the riders and beauty of the horses in show-jumping competitions. The competition gives opportunities to young, juniors and female riders in particular. Equestrian sport lovers can visit to watch the riders in action.
