Power Up Doha – GBW

Hosted by Global Businesswomen (GBW), Power Up Doha is a unique event where 40+ women entrepreneurs from Qatar and globally get together for personal growth and business collaboration. Maghrebian Night 

Groove to the tunes of Tunisian singer and rapper, Balti, and Algerian music sensation, Mouh Milano at the Maghrebian Night concert. Enjoy the musicians’ lively performances and watch belt out their best tunes.

FIBA U-16 Asian Championship 2023 – Basketball 

The seventh edition of the U-16 basketball championship in International Basketball Federation FIBA Asian zone is here making this edition as the qualifier for the 2024 FIBA U-17 Basketball WC to be held in Turkey next year.

Cheer for your favorite Asian basketballers in action and enjoy the nailbiting matches.

F1 Roundup 

Hosted by Lusail International Circuit ahead of the F1® Qatar Airways Formula One Qatar 2023 Grand Prix to be held in October, the roundup is ideal to build excitement for the event. Preview what’s in store for the public at the Grand Prix and also participate in engaging and thrilling activities for the whole family.

Gulf Cricket Championship T20I Qatar

Watch some electrifying cricket matches between GCC cricketing teams. Brace yourself for some cricket fever as teams from Qatar, KSA, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain play some engaging matches alongside family-friendly entertainment. Kids under 5 years are allowed free entry.

Tarteeb Concert

Get ready to enjoy a thoroughly enthralling Tarteeb concert at QNCC which includes live performances by Saudi artist, Khalid Abdulrahman; artist Musaeed El Blushi; and Qatari sensation, Naseer El Kubaisi.

Kids Art Club

Watch your kids unleash their creativity and explore their imagination through the kids art club at Mall of Qatar. Activities include origami workshops, painting, comic adventures, and fun craft activities.

Timings: 3 pm to 9 pm

Location: South east Rotunda, Mall of Qatar

Summer Fest at Tawar Mall

Another great kid-friendly activity to check out this weekend is the Summer Fest event at Tawar Mall. Engage your kids in a weekend of endless fun including a magic show, a comedy show, Masha & the Bear, and a creative workshop for kids.

Gaia – Media Majlis

Gaia is a mesmerizing inflatable sculpture by artist Luke Jerram, which is a touring artwork and is currently stationed at the Media Majlis at NorthWestern University. The exhibit also includes artworks and installations that explore the Metaverse concept. Visit the installations for free and enjoy an interesting journey through the exhibits.

Date: August 23 to December 7, 2023 

Timings: 10 am to 8 pm (closed on Friday and Saturday)

Location: Media Majlis, North Western University, Education City

Access: Free to attend

Hayaakum at Al Shaqab

Hayaakum Festival returns at Al Shaqab and is an exciting event that promotes equine education among the public, especially children. Kids aged 3 to 14 years are welcome to register for the many engaging events including Arabian horse rides, pony rides, vaulting classes, archery, gymkhana, face painting, and henna, lead rein riding, inflatables, and bouncy castles. On the second day, guests will be treated to a show by equestrian riders and horses in an extraordinary showcase of skills and coordination.

Location: Longines Arena, Al Shaqab

Jet Ski Jumping Competition

Old Doha Port is hosting the first Jet Ski Jumping Competition this week. Interested participants can register online or DM @olddohaport for more information.
