Everything you need to know about Dadu Gardens at Al Bidda Park

The Dadu Garden Adventures, an initiative by Qatar Museums, is now open at the Al Bidda Park, where it will be a permanent fixture even after the end of Expo 2023. It is designed to be a living classroom that uses nature-driven interactive play to educate children on the importance of wellbeing, health & nutrition, environment and science. Nestled within the Al Bidda garden, extending over an area of 14,500 sqm, Dadu Gardens provides a complete fun environment for children and bonding for the whole family. They welcome children under 11 years old with their family and caregivers.

Timings:
Thursday to Saturday – 4 pm to 8 pm

Al Bidda Park, International Zone
Tickets:
Entry for QAR 15. Tickets must be booked online. Extra tickets might be required for some specific workshops.
How to get there:
By Car:
Come towards Expo House and park your car at the Wadi Al Sail South Parking, located near the Firestation Museum. Go through the security check zone and enter the Expo through the green tunnel. You will find directions pointing to Dadu on the left. You will reach sign no 3 that says Dadu Gardens, just walk for a few minutes to get to the entrance.
By Metro:
You can also get to Dadu Gardens via Doha Metro. You need to get off at the Corniche station and take Exit no 3, which leads to Al Bidda Park. Take the metrolink bus no 144, get off at the Expo stop and enter through the main entrance. Go through the green tunnel and find directions pointing to Dadu on the left.
What to see:
There are many attractions inside the Dadu Gardens including beautiful sculptures and fountains. You can also find specific activities for children.
Animals in Residence:
Al Kubaisi Educational Reserve has set up an animals' interaction section where children can interact with farm birds like ducks and chickens, pet and feed friendly goats and play with the nomadic dog breed Saluki. The staff will also educate children on these animals and involve them in fun tasks.
Little Gardeners:
Your kiddies can be gardeners and learn about the importance of planting trees and get a hands-on experience with potting a small plant and tending to plants in Dadu’s garden area.
Workshops:
There are different activities lined up and every week you will find something new and interesting for children to learn and experience. From learning about what is there in your milk to cycling to making their own slushies on the bike blender to DIY za’atar sandwiches, there are fun activities that will encourage children to eat and drink healthy.
Fitness:
Children can jump around in the play area with foam blocks or enjoy a fitness routine with an instructor on a curved balance board. Kids can also participate in different fitness activities that keep changing on a weekly basis.
Recycling & Crafts:
Learn about the importance of the thre:e R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as kids learn to dispose of garbage in the proper way and even make crafts using recycled materials like musical instruments and many more.
