It's the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors and Qatar’s parks are well designed and equipped to give visitors a hassle free experience. In the wake of the Qatar World Cup in 2022, most parks received a facelift while 12 new parks were opened last year.

Did you know that Qatar now has 114 parks? Occupying an area of 3 million square meters, public parks in Qatar are well facilitated with jogging tracks, cycling tracks, children’s play areas, fitness areas, prayer rooms, washrooms and more. A visit to any one of the parks in Qatar is a rejuvenating experience offering an excellent respite for those looking to relax and unwind.
Burn some calories in the jogging or cycling tracks, let loose with your kids in the play areas or simply savor the mesmerizing views of the surrounding landscape at these popular parks in Qatar.
Al Bidda Park
Overlooking the majestic Westbay skyline, Al Bidda Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Qatar. The park received a massive facelift just before the Qatar World Cup, making it a popular tourist spot during the tournament. Al Bidda Park continues to be a park that attracts visitors year around due to its scenic landscape and numerous facilities.
Al Bidda Park also has an app enabling you to preplan your visit and make the most of your time. You can pre book the barbeque pits, gazebos and courts on the app to avoid disappointment during the weekends.

Museum of Islamic Art Park (MIA Park)
One of the most visited parks in Doha, MIA Park is a popular picnic spot at any time of the year. The park’s luscious green hills provide a spectacular view of the Corniche, while its pedestrianized pathways overlook the Museum of Islamic Arts and the traditional dhows dotted across the sea.
Facilities: Prayer rooms, washrooms, food kiosks, food trucks, restaurants, cycle rental kiosk, water sports kiosk, children’s play areas, trampolines for kids and outdoor parking
Attractions: Water fountains, traditional dhows and art installations.
Fun fact: MIA Park also has a water sports kiosk enabling you to unleash your adventurous side. You could whizz across the waters in a jet ski or enjoy a more calming ride on board a kayak.
Rawdat al Khail Park (Al Muntazah Park)
Spanning an area of 140,000 square meters, Rawdat Al Khail Park was one of the new parks opened last year. Popularly known as Al Muntazah Park, it is well facilitated and aptly located in a residential area in the heart of Doha. The park is family friendly and a perfect spot for a picnic or barbeque.

Hotel Park
Located in the upmarket side of Doha, Hotel Park is frequently visited year round. The park is furnished with lush green hills, water fountains and walkways for a quick jog or a leisurely stroll. The park also has a fountain of colors that that’s fun to run through; on your own or with your kids in tow! A climb up the hill will give you a fantastic view of the Westbay skyline on one side and the Sheraton Hotel on the other.

5/6 Park
One of the most Instragram-worthy parks in Qatar, 5/6 Park is perfect for a quick jog or a leisurely stroll. The park is also pet friendly and has numerous walkways including a stabilized soil walkway and a sand and stone walkway to explore. The park is best visited just before sunset to enjoy the mesmerizing views from the observation deck and admire the wall art and art installations.

Attractions: Qatar map shaped maze, observation deck atop a 5 meter hill offering breathtaking views of the Katara skyline, wall art and art installations,
Fun fact: The park has a maze, designed to resemble the Qatar map. Making your way through the maze is an engaging activity as each entrance and exit is named after a coastal city in Qatar.

Katara Hills
Katara Hills is a sprawling expanse of luscious green hills offering fantastic views of Katara Cultural Village and Katara Beach. Perfect for a quick jog or a leisurely stroll, Katara Hill offers an excellent backdrop for your Instagram-worthy shots.
A short distance away is Tasty Street, where you can grab some bites and drinks.

Umm Al Seneem Park
Opened just in time for the Qatar World Cup, Umm Al Seneem Park is one of the few parks where you can enjoy a jog even during summer thanks to its air-conditioned jogging track. The park is also unique because it is inclusive enabling differently abled individuals to enjoy its facilities as well.
Facilities: Prayer rooms, washrooms, children’s play areas, fitness areas, jogging track, cycling track, reflexology path, food kiosks and outdoor parking.
Fun fact: The 1,143-metre-long air-conditioned jogging track holds the Guinness World Record for the ‘longest air-conditioned outdoor path’

Oxygen Park
The ‘green lung’ of Education City, Oxygen Park covers a vast area of 130,000 square meters. The park is scenic and has cooling water features that offer a much needed respite after a long walk. Oxygen Park also hosts seasonal activities, fitness classes and events which are listed on the Education City app.
Facilities: Jogging track and outdoor parking
Fun fact: Oxygen Park is available for ladies only from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm every Tuesday and Wednesday

Aspire Park
Aspire Park is popular for its huge lake with ducks and other aquatic animals. Located behind Villaggio Mall, the park is an excellent spot for a picnic, a jog, a leisurely stroll or if you are up for it, some light water sport activities.
Facilities: Washrooms, children’s play areas, fitness areas, jogging track, cycling track, restaurants, cafes, food kiosks and outdoor parking.
Attractions: Lake, bridges, water arches and watersports kiosk
Fun fact: The water sports kiosk at Aspire Park is one of the few places in Qatar where you can enjoy a run on the lake inside a zorb ball.
Al Janoub Stadium Park
One of two parks located outside a stadium that played host to matches during the Qatar World Cup, Al Janoub Stadium Park overlooks the magnificent stadium designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. For those who live in Al Wakrah, the park is an excellent spot to unwind and relax or burn some calories.

Attractions: Al Janoub Stadium
Crescent Park
Stretching across a vast area of 275,000 square meters, Crescent Park is one of the sustainable parks in Qatar, using recycled water to irrigate the green areas in the park. The park offers a tranquil ambience for those seeking to relax. It is also well equipped with courts and fields for multiple sporting activities.
Facilities: Washrooms, prayer rooms, children’s play areas, tennis courts, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, a football field and outdoor parking.
Attractions: Observation deck atop the arch offering panoramic views of Lusail City

Al Bayt Stadium Park
Overlooking Al Bayt Stadium that played host to the opening ceremony of the Qatar World Cup, Al Bayt Stadium Park offers a much needed respite for residents of Al Khor. The park is well equipped with numerous facilities to make your visit a hassle free experience.
Facilities: Washrooms, children’s play areas, fitness areas, jogging track, cycling track, restaurants, cafes, food kiosks and outdoor parking
Attractions: Floating palm trees and an artificial lake with ducks and paddle boat rentals
Fun fact: The park also has a mini horse and camel paddock to facilitate a horse or camel festival
