The Hamad Port Visitors Center is the latest new addition to Qatar’s list of growing attractions. Replete with an aquarium, maritime museum, 4D cinema, auditorium, kids’ play area, and a gift shop, this center is certainly a must-visit spot for families and children in Qatar. Here’s all you need to know about the newly-opened Hamad Port Visitor Center.
Tickets: The entry fee is QAR 50 for adults (above 12 years), QAR 30 for children (5 – 12 years) and free for kids under 5 years.
Timings:
- Saturday - Thursday: 8 am - 6 pm
- Friday: 1 pm - 7 pm
Tickets can only be pre-booked via their website only prior to visiting and cannot be purchased at the entrance.

The Hamad Port Visitors Center Maritime Museum occupies nearly 1284 sq.m of space and touches on the rich maritime heritage of Qatar. You can expect to see fascinating exhibits that tell stories of container ships and shipping containers. The museum also highlights the significance of Hamad Port, its operations, and the role it plays in Qatar’s trade.
The first-of-its-kind oceanic aquarium in Qatar
The very first-of-its-kind oceanic aquarium in Qatar, the Hamad Port Visitors Center Aquarium offers an unparalleled experience. It has 17 differently-sized basins that show live aquatic life to visitors. The basins feature more than 3,000 aquatic creatures with 80 different fish species. This makes it an informative and fun place to visit for tourists, students, and locals alike in Qatar.
4D Cinema experience
The Hamad Port Visitors Center also has a 4D cinema experience that is complimentary for all visitors. The visitors’ ticket gives them access to a film highlighting the vision of the country’s port, the immense efforts that went into it, and other interesting facts in an engaging, fun manner.
Maritime souvenirs from the gift shop
The Hamad Port Visitors Center also features a gift shop where you can buy a wide range of aquatic gifts and maritime souvenirs to cherish the experience.
