Immerse yourself in Qatar’s nature with 365 Adventures’ Al Mafjar Mangrove kayaking tour
With the winter season slowly approaching in Qatar, now is the perfect time to get wet and take a kayaking adventure with your friends and loved ones.
Kayaking is one of the many ways one can experience the natural greenery landscapes in Qatar.
In addition to being a calming and immersive experience, kayaking can also be an excellent way to burn some calories and stay fit.
365 Adventures has made scenery exploration possible through its variety of offerings, with kayaking trips being organized at the Purple Island and Al-Mafjar.
Moreover, the Qatar Living team had recently headed out to try out their kayaking offering at the Al Mafjar mangroves located in the Nothern part of Qatar last week.
Upon arriving at the meeting point located at Al-Shamal Woqod Station, we were then guided to the kayaking location in the mangrove forest.
With safety and adherence to COVID-19 protocols being a priority during the trip, 365 adventures had provided the team with life jackets and made sure to pack some refreshments for the kayaking journey.
This was followed by a short introductory/training session, which comes in handy when it is your first time. We were thoroughly impressed with 365 adventures’ vast knowledge concerning the ecology of the mangrove!
Once we got on the kayaks, it was time to head out into the beautiful, rich, and green mangroves, which were surrounded by a variety of unique fauna.
It was also pointed out that one would have the opportunity to spot flamingos and herons during the right season.
The kayaking journey lasted around 90 minutes and you are allowed to take multiple breaks or stops as per your needs.
During the trip, one of the major stops was the beach located next to the mangroves, allowing the team to capture some fantastic pictures. Whether you wish to go kayaking alone or in groups, 365 adventures has got you covered.
Some of the things you’ll need to bring before arrival include sports or comfortable attire, flip flops or wet shoes, towels, spare clothing, water bottles, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses. You'll definitely get wet!
Furthermore, their toilet facility is not available due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The closest toilet facility is located at the Al-Shamal Woqod Station.
You can avail of 365 Adventures’ kayaking offerings at QAR 240 for adults (18 and over) and QAR 120 for children.
Kindly note that children below the age of 4 will not be allowed. Additionally, meals will not be provided during the trip so pack some snacks.
