
Free metro ride on match days for FIFA Club World Cup ticket holders

Adding to the excitement of football enthusiasts in the country, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has announced that ticket holders of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 will be able to travel free-of-cost on the Doha Metro on match days.
Anyone with a printed match ticket will be eligible to collect a free standard class Day Pass from any Metro station on game days.
Tickets will be available at any Metro station Gold Club office.

Currently, Doha Metro is also offering complimentary day passes to ticket holders of the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup matches.
In addition to free match day travel, fans will also be able to enjoy the FIFA Club World Cup Fan Zone at Doha Sports Park, which is part of Doha Golf Club.

Saudi Arabian team Al Hilal SFC and Brazilian side CR Flamengo recently booked their spots in the 16th edition of the tournament.
Al Hilal won the AFC Champions League for the third time after beating Japanese team Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 in the two-legged final, while Flamengo won the Copa Libertadores for the first time in 38 years after a dramatic 2-1 victory against River Plate.
Al Hilal and Flamengo join host country representatives Al Sadd SC, plus Hienghène Sport, CF Monterrey, ES Tunis and Liverpool FC in the tournament, which will be held in Qatar for the first time from December 11 to 21 .

Tickets are priced in three categories, ranging from QR25 for Category 3 tickets for the first three match days, up to QR400 for Category 1 tickets for the double-header comprising the third-place play-off and final. Full details are available here.
The FIFA Club World Cup is a prestigious global club competition, which will see the champions from each continent: Europe (Liverpool), South America (Flamengo), North and Central America and the Caribbean (C.F. Monterrey), Africa (ES Tunis), Oceania (Hienghene Sport), Asia (Al Hilal) in addition to the host nation's Al Sadd, battle it out on the field for the title of best football club in the world.
The official emblem of the tournament was unveiled last month.
The FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 will kick off on December 11, 2019, and run until December 21.
In its current format featuring seven teams, the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 will consist of eight matches.
The semi-final of the tournament is set to take place at the Education City Stadium which will mark its official opening on December 18.
The matches will be played at three venues: Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium and Education City Stadium.
Five teams have qualified to-date including Al Sadd SC (host country representative), Liverpool FC (UEFA), CF Monterrey (CONCACAF), ES Tunis (CAF) and Hienghène Sport (OFC), while the AFC and CONMEBOL representatives will be confirmed this month.
