Lebanon is in dire need of humanitarian aid and all kinds of assistance following the Beirut Explosion that caused large-scale devastation in the city.

With over 150 casualties and more than 5000 injuries, the aftermath of the incident has seen overcrowded hospitals, destruction of essential wheat stock, and disruption of entire districts.

In this hour of need, Qatar has come forward to lend a helping hand to the Lebanese people and express solidarity through a number of different donation campaigns.

If you're in Qatar and looking for ways to offer your support, here are some initiatives that you can contribute to:

Qatar Charity - Lebanon in Our Hearts Campaign

'Lebanon in Our Hearts' campaign is organized by Qatar's Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) in cooperation with Qatar Charity (QC) and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).

This is an ongoing fundraising campaign and has raised over QR94 million until now.

The campaign calls upon citizens, residents, and businesses in Qatar to help the Lebanese people through their contributions. Donations will support relief and restoration efforts in Beirut, in addition to providing food and medical assistance to the affectees.

Qatar Airways Box for Lebanon

Qatar Airways has teamed up with Talabat, Monoprix, and Qatar Charity to allow citizens and residents in Qatar to donate essential supplies to the Lebanese people as they face agonizing circumstances following the Beirut Explosion.

To donate, you can simply go on your Talabat app, select ‘Umm Salal Ali,’ ‘The Pearl-Qatar,’ or ‘Al Dafna’ areas to open the Monoprix grocery menu. Under the section “Qatar Airways Box for Lebanon”, select the items you wish to purchase to add them to the box.

Qatar Airways will deliver the donated goods free of cost from Doha to Beirut.

Earlier this week, the airline delivered more than 45 tonnes of essential goods donated by its employees.

Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) - 'Heart for Lebanon'

QRCS aims to raise QR50 million to provide relief, medical and food aid, emergency shelter, among other forms of humanitarian aid to support at least 300,000 affected people under its campaign.

The relief plan comprises these phases:

- Immediate response

Food aid, makeshift shelters and support of health facilities for the benefit of 55,000 people

- Medium-term response

Monthly food provisions, cash aid, and restoration of damaged homes for the benefit of 25,000 people.

-Recovery and capacity-building

Enhancement of health services, development of medical skills and raising awareness for the benefit of 300,000 people

Everyone is encouraged to contribute to this humanitarian campaign.

You can donate on the QRCS website, donor service line (66666364), or home collector service (33998898).
