In this episode of Exploring Qatar, Gigi and Jorge take us on a fascinating tour of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club located in Al Rayan.

One of the finest racehorse training centers in the world, the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club welcomes the public to view some spectacular horseracing from October to April, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, totally free of charge.

The grandstand at this stunning facility can accommodate as many as 3000 spectators at one time.

As Gigi and Jorge get a look at the facility up close, they discover a VIP room, which offers a breathtaking view to the racing track.

The visit is made even more special, as the QL duo is accompanied by one of the country’s top horse trainers, Ibrahim Al Malki, who offers insights into the stable, and shares highlights of his glorious professional journey.

A Doha native, Al Malki has over two decades of equine experience. He has been involved in equestrian roles at Al Shaqab, the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club, and the Qatar Endurance Federation.

Speaking to QL, Al Malki shares one of the most unforgettable moments in his journey as a horse trainer in Qatar.
