WATCH: A Farewell to Roundabouts

By QL Videos

Roundabouts were once an inescapable part of life in Qatar. But over the past few years they have been slowly replaced with intersections. Let us take a moment to remember the fallen:

Oryx Roundabout

Crazy Roundabout

Parachute Roundabout

Rainbow Roundabout

VIP Roundabout

Slope Roundabout

and now, just recently: TV Roundabout

These iconic landmarks are now gone but not forgotten.

The loss of roundabouts and isolated roads and the increase in population and speed cameras has killed the fun of driving in Qatar... It will soon be like the US with grid format straight roads and intersections and nothing else... Miss the old Qatar but oh well, times change...
