WATCH: Prominent People in Qatar - Dima Al Khatib

As part of a new series, Qatar Living is featuring some of Qatar's most prominent personalities. We're kicking off our series with Dima Khatib—a journalist, poet and translator from Damascus, Syria—who also happens to be the managing director at AJ+.

She joined Al Jazeera as an intern in 1997. Khatib began earning recognition for her journalism during the Iraq War, when she worked as a live news producer in Qatar for Al Jazeera Arabic Channel.

Khatib has also published a collection of poems in Arabic, Love Refugee. She also co-authored a book in Spanish about Arab Revolutions.
