1. Light Me Lusail - The International Light Festival

Dates: 6 - 8 December

Timings: 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Where: Lusail Marina Eastern Promenade

Entry is free for all.

Light Me Lusail - The International Light Festival will take place at Lusail Marina Eastern Promenade for the first time ever.

The festival promises to be an evening of magical wonder and enchantment. The evening sky will be lit up with different colours that promise to come to life on the horizon leaving you fascinated and entranced.

Bring your family, bring you friends. Come and be part of this enlightening evening that is sure to leave you spellbound and awestruck. It'll be an evening to remember!

2. Qatar Winter Dragon Boat Festival - 2018

Date: Friday, 7 December

Timing: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Where: Grand Hyatt Doha 

Entry is free!

Row, paddle, hurry up! Qatar Living is a community partner to Qatar's largest water sports event. They are back on the water to show us their fast rowing skills.

More than 600 participants in more than 20 teams race against each other by rowing through the water to reach the finish line and win one of the 15 or so trophies.

3. Doha Burger Festival 2018

Dates: Until Saturday, 8th December

Timings: 12:00 pm - 11:59 pm

Where: Katara Cultural Village

Doha Burger Festival 2018, is the second annual burger festival to take place in Doha. It focuses and exposes the growing market of the burger industry in the region. Last year, Doha Burger Festival 2017 marked above-expected records with over 35,000 visitors over the four days and 40 restaurants that are specialized in burger only. This year over 60 unique restaurants/ food trucks/ home businesses and 10 coffee shops participating.

Doha Burger Festival 2018 is a great destination for youths, families, and kids. This year DBF will bring the biggest Bounce Kingdom in the country to the festival along with other activities for adults and kids such as Skill Game, Trampolines, Game Stations, Football Dart, and many other activities on ground and on stage.

 

 

4. Doha International Book Fair 2018

Dates: Until 8 December

Timings

Saturday - Wednesday: 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am - 10:00 pm
Friday: 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Where: Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC)

Free entry, no tickets needed.

The Doha International Book Fair is back with it's 29th edition, with hundreds of publishers, writers and dozens of sideline conferences, workshops and cultural activities.

Russia will be the Guest of Honour at the fair in the framework of the Qatar-Russia Year of Culture 2018. Visitors will know more about Russian literature through a presentation of the most prominent publishers of Russian book. 

The fair also features an art exhibition, which runs daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

5. The 'Beauty and the Beast' musical comedy show

Dates: 5 - 8 December

6. Winter Nights 2 Concert

7. MINBER Exhibition by VCU arts

This art exhibition is hosted by VCU arts Qatar's Seniors and Juniors. Take a look at their painting and printmaking skills at the gallery!

8. Around the World Brunch

Date: Until 28th December 

Timing: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Where: Lagoon Restaurant, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha

Price: Starting at 299 QR

Lead by Executive Chef Satish Yerramilli, along with international culinary experts and Aaron Martin, Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food and Beverage, ‘Around the World Brunch’ showcases worldwide cuisines with a weekly culinary highlight on a specific destination:

Madrid on 7 December,

Beijing on 14 December,

New York on 28 December.

Lagoon Restaurant will also host a special editions of ‘Around the World’ with Winter Wonderland on 21 December.
