The 1.5 km long private beach in Katara is one of Qatar's most stunning natural beaches. Beach goers can choose between a laid-back beach experience and getting their adrenaline pumping by participating in a wide range of entertaining beach sports.
Following are some of the activities you can do at Katara beach:
Enjoy a boat ride
Boating is among the best and simplest water sports to attempt in Katara. Boat riding is the ideal alternative for you if you're someone who wants to undertake an adventure but is afraid. This activity lasts for a total of 30 minutes and can fit up to 6 persons per boat. It's a relaxing pastime where you may relax in a boat and take in the scenery and flow of the water.

Relax on the beach
The beach is always a very peaceful place to unwind and relax. You could read a book or just stare at the transient waves. Taking a break from you’re usual bustling week is always a great idea. And what better choice, than the beach at Katara. The beach also offers kiosks that sell pancakes, juices, ice creams and much more. Grab a bite while you relax on the beach!
Children’s play area
In addition to swimming and splashing, there is a sizable dedicated play area for kids where they can enjoy themselves. They provide them a variety of games and enjoyable activities.
Gondola Ride
Daily, from 4 pm to 10 pm at Gate 12, you can enjoy a boat ride in the famous Italian Gondola. Even though you won't be cruising through the Venetian canals, be sure that a boat ride on the waters of Katara will be equally relaxing and adventurous.
Enjoy a hearty meal
One of the few beaches in Qatar with complete facilities is Katara Beach in Doha, where visitors can spend the day engaging in a variety of activities. After all the leisurely activities at the beach, one can grab a fast bite at one of the many eateries that are close by.

On Weekends:
For accessing the beach from 9: 00 AM
- Adults - QAR 50
- Kids (age 7 years to 17 years) - QAR 25
- Nannies and kids younger than 7 years – Free
For accessing the beach after sunset
- Adults – QAR 25
- Nannies and kids below 17 years of age – Free
On Weekdays:
For accessing the beach from 9: 00 AM
- Adults - QAR 25
- Kids (age 7 years to 17 years) - QAR 15
- Nannies and kids younger than 7 years – Free
For accessing the beach after sunset
- Adults – QAR 15
- Nannies and kids below 17 years of age – Free
Note:
- Separate entries for family beach and men’s only beach
- Single men cannot enter the family beach
- Entry of family beach is opposite to Corretto Café
- Entry of men’s only beach is opposite to The St. Regis Hotel Doha
