Qatar's maritime history takes center stage at the recently unveiled Hamad Port Visitors Center. This facility goes beyond being a mere aquarium, offering a range of attractions including a 4D cinema, maritime museum, auditorium, kids' play area, and a gift shop. A day trip to the Hamad Port Visitors Center with your children promises an enlightening experience as you delve into Qatar's vibrant maritime heritage. Moreover, you can witness over 3,000 aquatic creatures in the country's groundbreaking oceanic aquarium, the first of its kind in Qatar.

Access: The entry fee is QAR 50 for adults (above 12 years), QAR 30 for children (5 – 12 years) and free for kids under 5 years.

Panda House

Drive down to Panda House in Al Khor for an entire day of cuteness with Qatar’s two beloved pandas, Thoraya and Suhail. Pandas in the desert are quite the novelty as you get to see the pandas housed in a state-of-the-art air-conditioned facility that spans a 120,000 sq.m park designed to be the best ecosystem for these animals. The Panda House also has a panda café, a gift shop and several complimentary fun activities for children including face painting and more!

Al Thuraya Planetarium

Al Thuraya Planetarium at Katara Cultural Village is a must-visit destination. Here, you can explore small exhibits, engage with interactive stations, and enjoy free shows suitable for all ages. The planetarium offers a diverse movie schedule showcasing captivating astronomical films and entertaining shows about the solar system and universe. Still wondering what the bright gift-shaped building in Katara houses? OliOli® Children’s Museum is aptly housed in this building and is a treat for all kids and parents. The museum has different zones that include kinetic gallery, Future Park, Creative Lab, Fitness Gallery, and Water Gallery. The ticket provides 2-hour access to all these activities.
