WATCH: Qatar Living interviews Ambassador of South Africa to Qatar
Qatar Living had the wonderful opportunity to sit down and chat with His Excellency Faizel Moosa, South Africa’s Ambassador to Qatar.
During the interview, QL presented a range of questions to HE the Ambassador whose jovial personality made it a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable session.
HE Faizel shared his first impression of Qatar, calling the Qatari people very enlightened and way more hospitable and welcoming than he had perceived.
He spoke about some of the Arabic words that he has picked up during his time here and also mentioned how Qatari weddings have particularly wowed him with their thoroughly planned celebrations.
In terms of the Majlis experience in Qatar, HE the Ambassador said the kharouf and the way it is presented to guests has been an unforgettable experience and that reflects the generosity of the people of the country.
He also shared some of his thoughts on the most anticipated event in the country at the moment, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, saying that it will provide people from around the world a chance to witness Qatar’s culture, its architectural landscape, and overall beauty.
He also called Qatar an ‘inspirational’ country for the way it has rapidly grown and developed over the years. He was all praises for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, highlighting that his wise leadership has enabled the country to reach new heights across all areas.
