DEGREE CERTIFICATE ATTESTATION HELP - SRILANKAN

I did my executive MBA in Sri Lanka and want to attest the certificate to be used in Qatar as I am currently living and working here. The certificate has already been attested by British council sri lankan and the ministry of foreign affairs srilanka. While obtaining the attestation at the qatar embassy of srilanka, they insisted that I have it attested at the qatar embassy of UK. Appreciate if you have a solution to this as I need to change my visa occupation and require the certificates to do so.
