Teaching at Doha British School
I worked as an expat teacher at the Doha British School. My experiences should serve as guidance to anyone who intends taking up employment at this school. They have a penchant for violating employee rights and transgressing labour law. They don't provide you with all information at the time of making an offer of employment - please be mindful of this. They make you promises to get you on board but these are never fulfilled. I was on a family sponsorship contract but I didn't get to bring my family over as the salary they had offered was below the immigration requirements for family visas. When I had resigned, they showed their true nature by not paying my salary for the last month of work. To date, I still have not been paid and no one at the company cares to respond to my emails. I am not alone in my experiences. Colleagues of mine have had various hiccups with HR. They never look after their staff and cheat you of your rights. They lie and are evasive. Please tread carefully when considering to work for them. Feel free to contact me so I can share my insights.

And they are supposed to be in the education field! What kind of future generation are we expecting?
