
Activities and events in Qatar during World Cup 2022

Qatar is officially in the FIFA months and all set to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ in a few days’ time. FIFA fever has painted the town in the extravagant festivities as the country, residents, and fan have geared up to celebrate the spirit of football and the global sporting event with much fanfare. While the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy has announced multiple celebrations for fans, many other organizations and foundations around Doha are hosting their own set of events for fans, children, residents, and visitors too.
Here is a list of Qatar World Cup activities lined up for the month of November and December 2022.
Msheireb Downtown
The remodeled sustainable smart city in the heart of Doha, Msheireb Downtown is set to be a hub for Qatar National Team’s celebrations at Al Annabi village (Heritage Zone). The fan activations are to be spread across three zones—Baraha Zone, Sikka Zone, and Heritage Zone. Here is a map of all activation zones and listed activities. Aspire Zone
Aspire Pavilion is going to be at the heart of multiple fan activations during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as it is in close proximity to the Khalifa International Stadium. Aspire Pavilion's activities for the World Cup include many sport games, cultural shows, and even an art and sports exhibition during the one month of festivities.
Sports events:
Foot Golf: Players try and kick a ball into a hole in as few shots as possible
Target Wall: Players have to kick the ball through holes with different values – each player will get three chances to amass as many points as possible
Connect 4 – Kick and Aim: Kick the ball accurately into the right pocket to win
4 In A Line: Like the game of ‘Connect 4’ the aim is to get 4 balls of the same color in a row to win
Skee Ball: The player must kick the ball into the pockets. The player with the highest number of points wins the game
Fooseball Tables: A tabletop game based on football. The aim of the game is to control players on a rob to score goals while preventing your opponent from scoring
Foot Pool: The player uses a white ball to strike other colored balls in order to put them in ‘pockets’. Players of each batch will get 2 chances to play
VR Game: Virtual Reality football-based games with screens and WIFI
Sub Soccer: Sit and enjoy playing football just by using your feet
Jump Like Ronaldo: Can you jump as high as Ronaldo?

Tanoura Dance: 2 shows daily – except weekends
African Dance: 2 shows on weekends
Philippines Dance: 2 shows on weekends
Mascots Parade: 2 shows daily – except weekends
Football Juggler: 2 shows daily
Bollywood Dance: 2 shows on weekends
Traditional Ardha: 2 shows on Qatar National Day

The Pearl Qatar
Multiple fan activations are anticipated to take place in several areas of the Pearl Qatar and will be a feast of exciting events and activities for all residents and fans.
Qarnevale Quartier
Aptly set in idyllic Qanat Quartier, the beautiful setting reminiscent of Little Venice, this is going to be a Venetian-inspired carnival featuring stunning masquerade performances and floating art.

Arabia Experience
The Arabian hospitality and Qatari culture will be something to definitely look forward to as fans and residents can enjoy the whole experience in Arabian hospitality tents, henna art, handmade crafts, ‘bukhoor’ incense experience, and even a photography tent to take pictures in ideal Qatari garb.

MedinaFest
The MedinaFest is meant to be a celebration of all cultures as international street artists, acrobats, and performers roam around the streets of Medina Centrale and add their own vibrance to the fun evenings in the Pearl.

Portobeat
An iconic glowing structure estimated to cover more than 2,000 sq.m in a stunning waterfront setting is expected to mesmerize the crowd with special visual effects and music.

The Children’s Art Exhibition: Reesha We Welcome the World to Qatar 2022™
The Reesha Art exhibition is an exhibition of children’s artwork under the slogan “We Welcome the World to Qatar 2022™”. Organized by QNL and HBKU, the initiative is a part of Qatar-MENASA 2022. It encourages children to connect with contemporary events through arts and creativity.

Goooal! How football kicked off in Qatar exhibition
This is an exhibition that centers on the growth and history of football in the region and the journey of the sport in the country.

GOALS Exhibition
Through digital and analogue photography, videography, public presentation, and written word, this exhibition talks about the impact of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ by those experiencing it.

D’reesha Performing Arts Festival
The second edition of D’reesha Performing Arts Festival will include staging of various artistic, musical, and poetic performances, and others across the campus.

Doha Corniche
For the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the Doha Corniche Street has been pedestrianized and closed to traffic. The 6-km stretch from Sheraton Park till MIA and Al Bidda Park will be welcoming fans with spectacular activities and fan activations.
FIFA Fan Festival
The iconic FIFA Fan Festival™ is all set be a hub for music, culture and entertainment and attract everyone to the heart of Doha. Fans will be required to show a valid Hayya Card for gaining entry into the fan festival. The festival features performances by international artists, games, fun activities, concerts, match screenings, sponsor activities and so much more.
Events along the Corniche
The whole 6-km stretch from Sheraton Hotel Park till MIA will be a great place for fans to enjoy the festivities and various food and beverage kiosks. There will be mega-screens and the largest screen is near MIA where all matches will be played live. There is expected to be fireworks and water show on the Corniche so that is also something to look forward to.
Lusail
Al Maha Island Lusail
Al Maha Island Lusail will be a center for all sorts of family entertainment with nearly 50+ attractions including rides at Lusail Winter Wonderland. There is a giant Ferris wheel, an extra high rollercoaster, and delectable dining experiences along with lounges and a beach club.
Lusail Boulevard
The newly opened Lusail Boulevard features a giant 3D screen and will host several daily performances and parades throughout the tournament. With close proximity to the Lusail stadium and a capacity of 50,000 people on the Boulevard, the venue will be a must-visit for local residents as well as fans.
QetaiFAN Beach Fest
The new iconic Qetaifan Island North will soon be host to the QetaiFAN beach fest in Lusail from November 19 to December 18. The event is a ticketed experience offering fans exclusive access to entertainment options, music, food, beach area, games and sports, football activities, and so much more. Wakra
MDLBeast: Aravia –music festival
The first ever event of MDLBeast outside of Saudi Arabia will be held as a 28-day music festival during the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. MDLBeast Aravia will be a ticketed event and will feature performances by world-renowned artists such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tyga and so many more. Tickets can be purchased here.

Arcadia Music Festival
The legendary Arcadia music and dance festival is going to be another major attraction for fans during the FIFA World Cup Qatar and is expected to see a turnout of over 200,000 attendees over its duration. With an extradordinary large fire-breathing spider and several sculpted stages, the music festival will also host many international DJs and artists.

Fan Zones
Hayya Fan Zone
The Hayya Fan Zone in Lusail South Promenade is an official fan zone which is expected to feature many festivities, activations, and ice ballet shows. There is a family-friendly atmosphere and all 64 games will be showcased on mega screens throughout the tournament.
Location: Lusail South Promenade (accessible by Doha Metro and Lusail Tram Red line and Orange line)
Timings: 12 pm to 1 am

Industrial Area Fan Zone
This fan zone allows free entry and Hayya card is not required to enter.

Unofficial fan areas
Ras bu Abboud beach (974 Beach)
Ras Bu Abboud or 97 beach is has a capacity of 5,000 and covers a stretch of 1.5 km. The beach is well-equipped with facilities including restaurants, kiosks, outdoor showers, and even water sports activities.
Access: Access is ticketed.
900 Park
900 Park is Qatar's newest outdoor food and beverage district and features multiple attractions for families and fans. The venue also features screens for match viewing, food from renowned brands, games, performances by resident DJs and more. The entry is free until November 19, after which there is an entrance fee.
