
FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola kicks off global journey in Dubai

The Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour began today in Dubai, with previous FIFA World Cup winners Iker Casillas and Kaká uniting to send the original FIFA World Cup Trophy on its way across the world ahead of the tournament later this year.
The real magic of the FIFA World Cup exists with fans believing in their teams and showcasing their passion for the game, according to Brad Ross, Vice President of Global Sports & Entertainment Marketing and Partnerships at The Coca-Cola Company. As football fans around the world prepare to support their teams, Coca-Cola is thrilled to offer fans the opportunity to experience the trophy ahead of the tournament.

Coca-Cola is welcoming fans to a once-in-a-lifetime chance to view the most recognized symbol in football and experience the true magic of the FIFA World Cup, the world's largest and most anticipated single-sport event. Coca-FIFA Cola's World Cup Trophy Tour will visit 51 nations and territories, bringing Coca-Cola and FIFA closer to their objective of visiting all 211 FIFA member associations by 2030. For the first time, the tour will go to all 32 FIFA World Cup qualifying countries, exciting fans around the world through exclusive consumer experiences.
At the first stop event in Dubai, FIFA World Cup winners Casillas and Kaká revealed their enthusiasm for the game. It's a tremendous honor to be a part of the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour's first destination, according to Kaká. “My first FIFA World Cup as a player was when I was just 20 years old, and it is still fresh in my mind – for me, it was a dream come true.”
Iker Casillas stated that lifting this trophy as captain of Spain in 2010 was the peak of his career. And it's amazing to think that someone in Qatar will have that feeling later this year. It gives him tremendous pleasure to join everyone today as they begin the adventure of presenting the FIFA World Cup Trophy to fans all across the world.
