HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games on Friday evening at Trocadero Square in the French capital, Paris.

HH the Amir also witnessed the sports delegations participating in the 2024 Paris Games, including the Qatari team, crossing the Seine River by boat.

The 14-member Qatar team will participate in five disciplines, including athletics, volleyball, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming.

Earlier, HH The Amir had attended the reception for the 2024 Paris Games, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace on Friday.

Several heads of state and representatives from Olympic committees of friendly and brotherly countries attended the reception.
