Hi Guys, ...
Came to Doha in Sept 09 and going crazy to find some food suitable for civilized people. Literally every Malayali restaurant prominently displays "Todays special menu - Hyderabadi DHAM Biriyani" what ever it means!!
Fed up with the lousy food.
Then from friends on net found the one in Le Mirage (near Qtel signal) To be frank, I am not satisfied with that. And the place is such that you can not eat there regularly. The cost is so prohibitive that you can only go there on special occassions.
Two weeks back some of the friends were gratious enough to inform me about Hyderabad Spices.
I can say the food has 90% flavor of Hyderabad food. I have seen many comments above. But believe me, when you have only one authnetic restaurant in the 1000 km range, you cant complain about the taste not upto Shadaab mark. Also when you order Biryani, tehy give extra biryani rice if you ask, so dont complain about less quantity. If you only expect meat pieces in your plate, be ready to pay more. Dont expect to get plate full of meat pieces for 11 riyals.
Been visiting this place regularly. If you can tolerate the waiters and lack of good hygine, its the best place to have your food in Doha (if you truly look to Hyd food)
I feel, after suffering for long, atleast I can survive in Doha with Hyderabad spices till I get real food back home :-)
