Responsibilities & General Criteria
· Performs inspection and testing as per the requirement Grace Engineering Critical Temporary Construction Aid (CTCA) Procedure
· Assists CTCA Coordinator in overall management of CTA/CTCA
· Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
· Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
· Verifies the CTCA against as-build drawings, material certificates and fabrication records.
· Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
· Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
· Interpret radiographs or digital readouts
· Organize and report test results.
· Perform specialized inspections as necessary
· Witness the pressure test and proof-load test as necessary
· Performs the receiving inspection on purchased TCA looking at applicable documents and certificates
· Maintains data & records such as CTA/CTCA register and inspection reports.
Education/Experience
· Diploma in Mechanical
· NDT Level II Certification
· Minimum 5-7 years of experience as NDT Inspector and general Mechanical Inspector
· Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
