Position: Kitchen Chef
Location: qatar
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Job Overview: As a Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations in our [restaurant/hotel/catering establishment]. You will be expected to create delicious and visually appealing dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:

Menu Planning and Development:
- Collaborate with the management team to create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Design innovative and appealing dishes while considering cost-efficiency.

Food Preparation:
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection, following the established recipes and portion sizes.
- Supervise and assist kitchen staff during food preparation, including but not limited to chopping, grilling, roasting, and plating.

Kitchen Management:
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Create work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.

Quality Control:
- Maintain strict quality and taste standards, ensuring that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet established criteria.
- Conduct regular taste tests and inspections of ingredients.

Creativity and Innovation:
- Develop new recipes and culinary concepts to keep the menu fresh and exciting for customers.
- Adapt to dietary preferences and restrictions as needed.

Kitchen Safety and Hygiene:
- Enforce food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations.

Inventory Management:
- Monitor food inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and control costs.
- Keep accurate records of inventory and expenses.

Customer Interaction:
- Interact with customers when necessary, addressing inquiries and special requests.
- Responsively handle customer feedback, striving for customer satisfaction.

Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications: Proven experience as a chef or kitchen supervisor in a similar culinary environment. Culinary degree or certification from a reputable culinary school is preferred. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Creative and innovative approach to menu planning and dish development. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
