Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Department: Engineering / Construction

Location: Doha – Qatar

Reports to: Projects Manager

Experience Required: Minimum 7 years in Construction MEP Field

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in MEP works, including design review, coordination, site execution, testing & commissioning, and handover. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Gulf region experience (especially Qatar or GCC). 

 Valid UPDA/MMUP certification Minimum Grade C.

Key Responsibilities:

Review MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth integration of MEP systems.

Supervise and monitor site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.

Manage MEP subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines and safety protocols.

Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.

Prepare material submittals, method statements, and technical reports.

Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Resolve technical issues and coordinate change management during project execution.

Monitor project costs related to MEP works and support in cost estimation and control.

Stay updated with the latest MEP technologies, tools, and industry practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in MEP construction, installation, and coordination.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.

Familiar with local codes (e.g., QCDD, Kahramaa, Ashghal) and 

Strong project management and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
