Description
A Technical Procurement Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure the acquisition of quality goods, services, and materials at competitive prices to support organization's operations. This role requires strong negotiation and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies in line with the company's business objectives.
2. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and reliability.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring advantageous terms and conditions, and maintaining a focus on cost savings and value creation.
4. Establish long-term relationships with suppliers, developing strategic partnerships that benefit both parties.
5. Monitor supplier performance and work closely with them to enhance quality, efficiency, and innovation.
6. Manage the procurement life cycle, including the preparation of purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving non-conformance issues.
7. Conduct ongoing reviews of procurement processes and supplier performance to identify areas for continuous improvement.
8. Ensure compliance with applicable procurement policies, legislation, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in procurement with FM industry.
2. Diploma in Engineering will be added advantage (Mechanical/Electrical)
3. Proven experience in negotiating contracts and driving cost-saving initiatives.
4. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, market analysis methodologies, and supplier relationship management.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
6. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficient in using procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.
9. Efficiency in MS Excel.
10. Should be familiar with MEP & Civil spares / materials and its use in the industry.
Desired Skills & Experience
