EGA's Counselor provides essential support to students by addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs. They utilize their psychological expertise to offer individual and group counseling, helping students navigate personal challenges and develop coping strategies.
The Counselor works closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to create a supportive learning environment, implement effective counseling programs, and facilitate interventions for students facing difficulties. They also conduct assessments, provide guidance on career planning, and ensure that students have access to appropriate resources and services while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology is mandatory.
- Master’s degree in Psychology or School Counseling is preferred
- Experience: Several years of experience in counseling within an educational setting.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expertise in psychological assessment and therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to develop and implement counseling strategies and programs.
- Empathy and active listening skills.
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining confidential records and documentation.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and educational counseling practices.
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and manage varying emotional and behavioral issues.
- Language: Must speak English & Arabic
