Job Title: Lifting Supervisor

Job Summary
The Lifting Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all lifting operations at site to ensure activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures and industry standards. The role ensures proper planning, risk control, equipment inspection, and supervision of rigging teams to prevent incidents during lifting activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, direct, and supervise all lifting and rigging operations at site.
• Ensure lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments are followed.
• Verify the selection and condition of lifting equipment, cranes, slings, shackles, and rigging tools.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before lifting activities.
• Coordinate with Crane Operators, Riggers, and Site Engineers to execute lifts safely.
• Monitor weather and ground conditions to ensure safe lifting operations.
• Stop work immediately if unsafe conditions or acts are observed.
• Maintain accurate records of lifting equipment and inspection certificates.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, PTW (Permit to Work) systems, and lifting standards (e.g., LOLER / OSHA / ASME / API).
• Report incidents, near misses, and take part in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma/Technical Certification in Mechanical, Civil, or related field (preferred).
• Certified Lifting Supervisor / Rigging Supervisor (e.g., OPITO / TUV / LEEA / Third-party approved).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in lifting operations within the Oil & Gas / Construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of cranes, lifting attachments, load charts, rigging practices, and safe lifting standards.
• Experience working in live plant or high-risk environments is an advantage.
