Description

WALK-IN INTERVIEWS:

• Assist mechanical technicians in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of pumps, compressors, engines, valves, rotating equipment, and other mechanical systems.

• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment required for daily maintenance activities.

• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as tightening bolts, cleaning components, lubricating machinery, and replacing filters or simple parts.

• Support in dismantling and reassembly of equipment under supervision.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the workshop, equipment rooms, and job sites.

• Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and permit-to-work requirements.

• Assist in transporting tools and mechanical components to work locations.

• Conduct routine inspections and report abnormalities, leaks, unusual noises, or equipment defects.

• Help maintain inventory of mechanical tools, spare parts, and consumables.

• Work effectively with the maintenance team during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs.

Desired Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of valves such as Gate, Globe, Ball, Butterfly, Check, and Control valves.

• Ability to assist in dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling valves under technician supervision.

• Familiar with hand tools: spanners, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, torque tools.

• Understanding of basic mechanical fittings, gasket replacement, tightening & alignment.

• Knowledge of lubrication, cleaning, and safe handling of mechanical parts.

• Ability to support valve inspection, leak testing, and visual checks.
