We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer with 2-3 years of experience in retail. The ideal candidate will support the buying team in selecting and procuring merchandise that aligns with our brand strategy and customer preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of purchasing strategies.
- Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to make informed buying decisions.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
- Support the buying team in planning seasonal product assortments.
- Conduct market research to identify new products and industry trends.
- Prepare reports on sales performance and inventory management.
- Help coordinate visual merchandising to enhance product presentation.
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in retail buying or a related role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with trend analysis and inventory forecasting.
- Knowledge of retail math and financial acumen.
- Familiarity with supply chain management.
