Description

Proven experience in procurement of fresh items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, non food and food items.

Wholesale distribution and retail experience is highly desirable.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of fresh meat and fish products internationally.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the company.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay ahead of changes in supply and demand.
Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of fresh meat and fish to meet customer demand while minimizing wastage.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Establish and enforce quality standards and specifications for fresh meat and fish products.
Conduct regular supplier audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Resolve any quality issues or discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction and uphold brand reputation.
Develop and implement strategic plans to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve business targets.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers and products to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Experience: Proven experience in purchasing or sourcing fresh meat and fish products, preferably in a retail or food industry setting. International procurement experience is highly desirable.
