Description

The Logistics Operations Specialist is responsible for the coordination and execution of all inbound and outbound shipments for PLS Qatar Company. This role works closely with the warehouse team, sales team, and vendors to ensure that all shipments are processed efficiently and in a timely manner. The Logistics Operations Specialist will develop and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of shipments. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and policies
• Understand customer needs and requirements to provide the best possible service
• Coordinate with other departments and personnel to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
• Monitor inventory levels and stock, and place orders when necessary
• Prepare documents for shipments, including customs paperwork
• Arrange transportation and schedule deliveries with carriers
• Track shipments and update customers on estimated arrival times
• Resolve issues with damaged or lost shipments
• Handle customer complaints in a professional and efficient manner
• Maintain records of all shipments and deliveries
• Generate reports on logistics operations
• Assist with the development and implementation of new logistics procedures

Information

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
• 3-5 years experience in a logistics operations role in Qatar.
• Working knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
