Description
We are seeking an experienced CEO for our client in Baghdad, Iraq. If you are ready to hit the ground roll your sleeves from day one, we will be happy to onboard you. Your experience, leadership approach, skills and knowledge play a crucial role for this position.
Start Date: Immediately
Preferred Nationalities: Iraqi or Arab
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and mission for the company.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive business strategy to achieve short and long-term goals.
2. Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial health, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
- Implement effective financial controls, risk management, and resource allocation strategies.
3. Operational Excellence:
- Drive operational efficiency and excellence across all business units & sectors in all countries of operation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to stay ahead in a dynamic market.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board, investors, banks, customers, and employees.
- Represent the company externally and act as the face of the company.
5. Talent Development:
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and high performance.
6. Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Identify and evaluate potential merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Lead negotiatons and due diligence processes to ensure strategic growth.
7. Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure that the organization operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.

Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements
- Intensive experience in Real Estate Development and Construction.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CEO or 8 years as a General Manager in the same field.
- Bilingual (Arabic and English)
- Has hand on experience on managing huge projects preferably residential.
- Experience in Iraq is a plus.
- Leadership, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills.
