Description
Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullah! Bismillah,
I didn’t realize that sales was a skill I was born with. When I sold my motorcycle on a used product marketplace, it struck me—I could make sales happen naturally. And so, my journey began.
During university, I surprised myself one day by setting up a stall and selling random products at a fair. I was enjoying it more than anything else I have done.
My first job was selling Japanese used cars to the African market, especially Kenya, through telesales as an offshore sales agent. Alhamdulillah, I succeeded, selling 15 cars. I realized my communication skills were strong enough to convince someone to buy a used car they’d never seen, entirely online.
Next, I moved into furniture sales. At first, I had no idea the corporate furniture market was so vast. I started selling large quantities, both B2C and B2B, and quickly mastered the corporate sales culture.
Then, I joined a local sock factory.
I went from selling high-value products to a non-brand, one-dollar item like socks. Initially, I was a bit nervous—Bangladesh has a short winter season, so there was minimal need for socks. But after diving deeper, I realized this product could be sold as a white-label item for major footwear brands.
I began pitching to large footwear manufacturers and secured my first order worth 3 million Bangladeshi Taka from one brand. Soon, I signed more and more brands in the footwear industry.
Determined to expand sales channels, I created an e-commerce shop for socks and listed them on other marketplaces. Eventually, I introduced undershirts as a complementary product, based on my market research. This combination worked wonders; we started pushing these products to local retail giants, and it took off. In just a few years, we sold 3.5 million pairs of socks.
I noticed that many small and medium companies struggle to sell products effectively, mainly due to a lack of brand value and limited market strategy.
I decided to help these business owners grow their sales and scale up.
