Duties and Responsibilities:

COMMERCE SUBJECT LEAD ( 2020-2024)

HEAD OF COMMERCE DEPARTMENT : 2018-2020

·        Review and approve lesson plans for Business Studies (grades 9-11, AS and A Level), Mathematics (grade 9), and Enterprise (project-based subject).

·        Review and approving Yearly plans , Curriculum Plans and Lesson Plans for grades 9-11 , AS and A Level.

·        Training the members of the Department for Schools Portals for data entry for Formative and Non formative assessments , projects and other on going assessments.

·        Ensure lesson plans align with Cambridge Learner attributes and skills, including Differentiated Learning, Hook up, and Plenary activities.

·        Train department members on Individual Education Plans to improve student academic performance.

·        Track and monitor student progress through Perspective (School-managed portal).

·        Provide feedback on teacher corrections and assessments through random or selective sampling.

·        Conduct training sessions for teachers on Cambridge subject introductory, marking, and extensive training.

·        Maintain department files and curriculum maps for Business Studies, Enterprise, and Mathematics.

·        Coordinate with heads of departments to ensure uniform course division and assessment frameworks.

·        Conduct parent-teacher meetings and document concerns and solutions., overseeing attendance, class boards, and student behavior.
