Description
A Document Controller having more than fifteen years of experience working on the construction projects with the Contractors and the Supervision Consultants in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Expert in documents management to allow the project teams easily retrieve the documents. Possesses Professional level of knowledge about database management, and proven track record of development & implementation of project database using customized programming & automation in Microsoft Access (Visual Basic).
A critical role in managing the flow of documentation on construction projects, ensuring that all documents are properly controlled, filed, and distributed. This is crucial in large-scale construction projects where compliance, version control, and timely access to documents are essential for project success.

- Managing Construction Documents:
· Organize and maintain a large volume of documents, such as construction drawings, blueprints, contracts, permits, specifications, and reports.
· Ensure documents are stored in a systematic and easily retrievable format, both physically and electronically.
· Regularly update and archive documents throughout the construction project lifecycle.
- Document Distribution and Communication:
· Design & develop the Document Management Database System which provides updated logs registers, filtering system, daily/ weekly/ monthly reports, and trends.
· Distribute the latest versions of construction documents to relevant stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers.
· Ensure that all project members are working from the most up-to-date documents to prevent costly errors or delays.
· Maintain logs of distributed documents to track who has received and accessed certain files.
· Develop a distribution matrix to handle distribution of information to team members and external sources as determined by the approved matrix.
· Updated all logs and filling for incoming and outgoing correspondence and other project documentation
- Supporting Project Teams:
· Act as the point of contact for document-related queries, supporting construction managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
· Train project staff on how to use document management systems (DMS) effectively.
· Collaborate with project teams to ensure that documentation processes align with project needs and timelines.
- Managing Construction-Specific Software:
· Utilize Construction Management Software (CMS) and Document Management Systems (DMS)
· Ensure that all relevant stakeholders can access the system and retrieve or update documents as necessary.
- Archiving and Retention:
· Ensure proper archiving of construction documents at the end of each phase or project completion.
· Backup done either electronically or through extra hard copies of a document.
