Description

After obtaining my law degree, I commenced my profession as an associate lawyer in a law firm and subsequently served as legal/ HR personnel in an Information Technology Company in India
For the past six years, I have worked in Qatar as Legal/ HR Manager for Holding Company which includes Contact Center Outsourcing/ Recruitment Consultancy/ Ticketing / Entertainment Companies. Within this role, I have been responsible for a range of duties and tasks.
- Prepare and examine various legal documents, including Lease Contracts, Business agreements, HR Contracts, and Joint Venture Agreements.
- Create Contract management tools and templates to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
- Assess tender proposals and offer management recommendations for final decisions.
- Stay informed about new and proposed Qatari legislation to maintain compliance.
- Oversee the validity and expiration of legal documents, guaranteeing timely renewal or termination.
- Perform legal research and investigations to create legal documents, reports, and advisory opinions.
- Investigate regulatory requirements and deliver prompt, precise legal advice to ensure compliance
- Evaluate operational delivery and contractor performance to determine necessary contract changes.
- Collaborate with law firms, attend court proceedings when needed, and draft legal documents.
- Give legal support and advice to all business areas to safeguard the company's legal interests.
- Coordinate and implement HR and administrative tasks, such as recruitment, payroll, and employee relations programs.
- Create and enforce organizational policies and procedures, periodically reviewing them to detect potential risks or non-compliance issues.
- Oversee employee exit processes, including drafting no claim letters and non- disclosure agreements.
- Ensure adherence to Qatari employment laws and regulations while managing visa processing, visa report reviews, staffing, and medical & QVC processing.
- Investigate employee misconduct and suggest suitable disciplinary measures.
- Work with corporate counsel and other departments to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations.
- Manage both electronic and physical document systems according to company guidelines, ensuring proper document control.
- Produced and maintained organization charts and management information, guaranteeing accuracy.
- Identified and solved complex strategy problems impacting management and business direction.
- Spearheaded company's talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Evaluated and resolved employee performance-based claims and harassment incidents.
- Designed and updated training manuals, materials and presentations to align with objectives of organization.
- Coordinated with department managers to identify and facilitate workforce needs.
- Kept working HR systems in compliance with current employment laws and made proactive changes to keep pace with industry trends.
