Hello I'm giving privet lessons for beginners:

Multiple styles are offered including the basics of Classic and Rock styles. Thus there is a choice between two guitars; Acoustic (finger/pick) and the Electric guitar. I am available any time as of July 2010! Other styles are also available on demand.

Quadfly, I'm an active member/co-founder of our band named chaos n' harmony. We currently do random acoustic gigs at selected restos here at doha. I could spare an hour or two for your son to learn the basics of playing the guitar through chords / tab reading ( i love kids showing interest in music - it mirrors myself few years back ). I assure you he could play on his own in a month - dependent on his sheer interest and determination. But first buy him an acoustic guitar. You will shoulder my transport to and from mansoora. About the talent fee, its nothing much to deal with - your kid to learn playing is a lot more essential. Here's my number 6803239. ciao!

I play the guitar. I am interested taking the challenge to teach your son.

But primarily I'd like to know what your ultimate goals are?... is it that you want your son to start playing songs and rythms as soon as possible?

This will take approximately 3 to 5 months depending on how much he practices.

or are you looking for a formal guitar education wherein notes will be taught first and then chords...

this process will take approximately 1 to 2 years b4 he can play depending on how he practices ..
