37K is teh bomb!!11!1
No issue - just make sure that they will approve the visa for the kid.
The money is still decent QR12k +-
thanks that is an answer that will help me out - concerned re accomodation. Trust I have not offended anyone with the ridicilous wage I put it- although I suppose some people get paid that. Sounds like this maybe a good option if I am sensible.
I have 1 child- not married- is that going to be an issue?
$3,750QR . . what's that? QR13,000 plus acco? Not as good as civil engineers but better than teachers. As noted above, familiar food will be American prices or more; sensibly-purchased vegies much less. Booze and western-style meals all at Western prices. Cars and fuel less. Go figure, as they say.
One possible extra expense is in acco. If it's pretty awful, you might feel a need to spend money on making it habitable. However, that cost depends on your own standards and what they give you. Most Westerners don't have much of a problem with what they're given.
this has created some issues- however the last email was correct- although not a liar- just read things wrong- my question should have been is $3,750QR month + house okay? Not the ridiculous amoutn I said- I apologise- I thought that your reaction was unusual.
Woudl be grateful if people coudl tell me now if that is enough- sorry for the confusion- I am just taking a position as a consturction worker- not an MD- I wish!!
I think this guy is fake, he is a lier. That's not the first time he makes such topic, asking for people's opinions about his fake fancy salary. What a loser. LMAO
I think it more likely that the QR is pegged to the US dollar than the other way round. lol
I appreciate curiousity, even entertain naive, bias thinking, but asking if 37,000QR a month is viable, in this forum is.....well ridiculous.
good question...what position is it? is it very senior (like MD) or is it technical? It would be good for everyone to get an idea of what are the *hot* jobs in Qatar right now.
In fact, dare I say you may be the person earning the most on this website! Heheh...unless someone else has a better figure?
yes I agree with camper. You'll live like a king! What's that job? :-)
The USD is pegged to the qatari riyal. Therefore the fact that it depreciates makes no difference to spending in Qatar. It only matters when moving money out of the country
37,500 is a lot
QR37k is huge - you will live like a king here even if your housing is included in this amount. Say you pay QR17k for housing which would be a fab villa in a compound, then you are left with QR20k.You want to drive a big car/SUV so you pay QR4k (top of the range whatever) and then about QR3k for groceries. QR0.5k for club membership and depending if you have kids, QR2k for school fees (private school). That leaves you with more than QR10k in the bank. And that is with my inflated prices...
If your accomodation is seperate or provided then you're putting about QR25k in your pocket each month.
High test gas is $.80/gal, drive a hummer
OK, devide QR37,000 per month by 3.65 and you get US$10,000 per month. If housing is paid for (the only big expense), then can you live on the $10K. Everything else is close to the price in the States.
If you are sharp enough to get that type of money, why would you ask this bunch of mal-contents questions. These are the people making QR2,000 a month. If you don't know, the US Government publishes a comparision of living cost for all their postings. Cost is about 1.2 times DC.Since you will not have housing cost, would be cheaper than DC.
How much is unleaded petrol in Qatar?
Just dont know the cost of living- ie cars, food etc over there- assume that all okay!
Umm, I do believe that 123k U.S. Dollars would be enough to live on just about anywhere.
