Welcome to the Swiss International School in Qatar, one of the newest schools in Qatar. Our vision is to provide the highest quality learning opportunities to children in Doha. We ensure an outstanding international education set in an environment that excites, inspires, supports and challenges every student to excel academically and socially.

In order to achieve our vision we are guided by several philosophical commitments and actions. As an IB World School, SISQ has fully adopted the International Baccalaureate's philosophy and pedagogy for all grades. The IB has a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence and aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. This is a perfect alignment with SISQ’s vision.

Multilingualism is a key commitment at SISQ which is reflected in our three core languages:

English - the language of instruction at SISQ

French - for all students either as a first language or as an additional language. French is embedded into our extra curricula programmes and many SISQ teachers are native French speakers.

Arabic - for all Arabic speakers and in compliance with the Ministry of Education. Arabic is an option available to all students as an additional language.

Other languages - in addition to our core languages, SISQ supports the maintenance of students' mother tongue through resources, language experts and community involvement.

Many SISQ teachers and learning assistants are multilingual in our core languages; they also represent a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds. Our teachers are an exceptionally committed, experienced and qualified group who have worked in top international schools around the region and globally. They have joined SISQ with an awareness that a learning environment needs to be purposeful, nurturing and supportive in order for students to flourish.
