Hi,

I currently live in the UK, but lived in doha for a while, leaving in 2005.

I lost an Ibanez Jem 7d Steve Vai guitar when I lived in Doha. I lost it in 2004 after playing in battle of the bands in at the American School (ASD). The guitar is black (with a kind of weird paint effect), with a mirror scratchplate, and the famous monkey handle all Steve Vai's guitars have. My profile picture is of the guitar if anyone is interested.

Unbelievably, I left the guitar in the boot of a taxi, while on the way to a friends house from ASD. The taxi never came back, and I never saw my guitar again. Very annoying.

The most annoying thing though is that because the guitar was a gift for my 17th birthday, and I only lost it a few months after receiving it, I think about it on average, once every couple of weeks, and have done so for the last 6 years or so.

I would like to know if anyone in Doha knows of anyone who owns such a guitar, and perhaps came into ownership of the guitar in some strange way (gift, found, bought for 500qr in a souq - basically anything slightly odd).

I cannot imagine there is more than 1 jem 7d steve vai guitar in Doha, so if anyone has seen it, I would be eternally grateful if they could get in touch with me. If the person who has the jem 7d is actually reading this, I'm sure we could come to some arrangement about the guitars rightful owner!!
