Male singer/acoustic guitarist recently arrived in Qatar

Hi everyone, I sing and play the 12-string acoustic guitar and would really like to join/jam with/hang out with other musicians in the country. I'm based in Al-Wakrah. Here's a sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00P4KWkPN-s

I play mostly folk-ish type stuff, and the languages involved so far are English, Afrikaans, French, German, Japanese.

Also, if anyone knows of an open mic night that's currently on the boil, that would be great. Peace out.

Hi!

I also am a singer and would very much like to join a band. Etienne, perhaps we could do some duets.

Have you managed to join a band since writing this message 9 months ago?

Hey Etienne, hope your well dude. My names Andy. I'm arriving in Doha on the 1st October. I have been playing guitar for a little while (I'm far from Steve Via) and have been looking for people to jam with. Sadly I cant bring my guitars with me, but I have found a few shops to purchase one from upon arrival. I'd love to meet fellow musicians to jam.

I'm from England, and as is the case with most of the ignorant folk from our little island I can only speak English. However I have been studying a little German and through the Berlitz Language College in Doha I'm looking to improve my language skills. As I can see that you can speak German; I believe using the language with a fluent speaker will help me. I would be grateful for any help to be honest.

I look forward to your reply and hope you've settled in well. Just let me know if you fancy a jam when I arrive.

Andy
