GoodMorning Qler's

With the participation of her highness HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser .

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani (Chairman of Qatar 2022 Bid Committee)

Hassan Al-Thawadi (CEO of Qatar 2022 Bid Committee)
Bora Milutinovic (Bid Ambassador)

Mohammed Abdulridha Jawad Al-Nufal (Qatar Foundation)

Qatar attempted to deal with the issues surrounding the intense heat, highlighted in a Fifa technical report, and encouraged the governing body to take the World Cup to new territories.

The team did an amazing job on the final presentation! for the Bid

If you missed it, you can still watch it on FIFA's website:

HH Sheikha Mozas's speech was very very impressive. She touches every aspect that needed to get the FIFA awarded to Qatar in her speech and close to touch the heart. That's an excellent one. Seeing this, I'm very optimistic that Qatar SHOULD be awarded. To know the world the peace and love of Muslim world.

janab_e_ali everyone has their openion, need not be the same as yours.

Janab, people get paid for what they do. No charity involved. Maybe you move your arse to get your salary.

Anyway lets party for Qatar.

TheLucyShow,

Were you here during the 2006 Asian Games to witness the show these young Qataris used to perform on the Qatari roads with their flashy cars? Did you witness they spinning skills in traffic-lights, blocking the traffic in the 4 directions and spinning their cars in the middle of the cross-roads?

If you missed their shows, expect more to come if they get it!

Just don’t complain after how wild things can get here!

Good luck to these yong Qatari royals who are trying hard to put one of most viewed shows in Qatar to keep the nation high in the world map..Fingers are crossed.May God bless Qatar with worldcup organization opportunity. They really deserve it.Goodluck..

More like Rasputin!

ex.ex.expat

I just didn't feel it was appropriate. But everything is political so I guess it is a good strategy in that sense.

I think ex President Putin wins for hissy fit manipulation at the moment....

And who knows what Janab's problem is we aren't psychologists so why bother?

ex.ex.expat,

Sounds like what politians do, when they use tragedies to score votes.

anyone speaks their opinion freely. This is not your country. If we were in India, I could understand (although not agree since India is a democracy). Did you forget you are not Qatari, mate? Just wait for tomorrow and try going into Villagio, mate ;)

(the eloquence of the French and the Spanish). But I didn't like the emotional manipulation of the presentation by bringing in politics. Just my opinion.

By Oryx• 12 years 2 months ago.
Oryx

The presentation was excellent and luckily I speak French and Spanish so I appreciated the eloquence of those speeches.

Good luck to them.

I don't see anyone talking "filth". But if you are not mature enough to accept free speech and open discussion about the WC bid, I suggest you stay away from qatarliving, mate :)

just so jealous they havent seen a rich country like

That's an incorrect statement that "none" of the presentation material was done by Qatari's and secondly the films were not an australian production - some part of it might have been sub-contracted,one director being aus and the company does have a Sydney office but it is not an australian production.

All Bid Committee's whether it be for Olympic Games or World depend on the global consultancy pool to deliver and market their bids.

ex.ex.expat,

Go to YouTube and search the only interview she did with Aljazeera. Not only you'll be shocked by the level of eloquence but also you will have doubts if she has the academic achievements usually attributed to her. The substance of her words and the level of general knowledge displayed are quite low. Many responses were helped out by the interviewer himself.

Money buys everything everywhere and not just in Qatar. Money buys R&D and with R&D you get talent. Stop hating people.. Be happy at least you and your kids might have a chance to attend a world cup and witness one of the greatest cultural and economical blooms...

Qatar is winning the Bid... I am Almost sure

By ex.ex.expat• 12 years 2 months ago.
ex.ex.expat

I just assumed she would be because I have only ever heard and read statements that glorified her (and much of it deserved in my opinion) so I was quite taken aback. Again, let me say that the young male spokesmen were great orators.

BluePanther,

No need to elaborate on what I meant.

When you go back to your office (no matter which one, including the Olympic Committee) look around and see who is producing work, you might get my point ;)

By ex.ex.expat• 12 years 2 months ago.
ex.ex.expat

was impressive. I felt they really out-shined the Sheikha who although lovely as always, was not a very dynamic speaker (in my opinion) and not as gifted with fluent pronunciation of English.

By genesis• 12 years 2 months ago.
genesis

how many Qatari Film maker you heard of? Aside from the few attempts recently from DFI students.

By anonymous• 12 years 2 months ago.
anonymous

Genesis, no Qatari 'professionals'? What is the population made of? Amateurs?

By Nic• 12 years 2 months ago.
Nic

Genesis,

Ok, but most of the tangible work was done by non-Qataris. I guess its ok, as it’s an accurate representation of Qatar.

By anonymous• 12 years 2 months ago.
anonymous

It was actually quite impressive, better than I thought it will be..

I still think USA may get it for 2022, England for 2018

genesis

Of course the short films will be given to professionals, regardless of their nationality

However, the speeches was spoken from the heart by Eloquent young Qataris who have not fluffed their lines or read out dryly from a script

By Nic• 12 years 2 months ago.
Nic

Do you know that none of the presentation material was actually done by Qataris?

The short movies are Australian production!

Money sure buys almost everything. It didn’t buy talent or skills but it can fool those who don’t know better where the presentation's inputs came from!

Isn’t it sad when money is the only Qatari input? Particularly when this money is not even earned as the result of personal efforts!
