Condé Nast Traveler, the acclaimed travel magazine and site has recognized two of Qatar’s newest additions – The Old Doha Port’s Grand Cruise Terminal and Hamad International Airport’s (HIA) Orchard as two of the ‘Best New Ways to Travel’ in 2023.

The Hot List is the 27th edition of its kind and puts the spotlight on the most exciting and new ways to travel from different locations around the world. Qatar’s latest two additions launched before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ have been highlighted in the list.

The Orchard at HIA is an extremely impressive airport expansion project that has enriched passenger experiences. The 60,000 sq. ft atrium garden is located at the center of a new terminal, featuring over 300 trees, over 2,500 plants, and a beautiful water feature as its focal point. The green space is an oasis of tranquility for departing and transiting passengers and is a part of a sustainable initiative to adopt more eco-initiatives at HIA.

Condé Nast Traveler lauded the Grand Cruise Terminal for its impressive capacity to host two megaships and also welcome 12,000 passengers per day. The Terminal has spectacular features including its façade of stunning arches, an art gallery, open-air rooftop terrace, and as escalator for passengers that glides through a vast aquarium before emerging out in the open.

Hamad International Airport (HIA) is frequently voted as the best airports by travelers. With the recognition given to Qatar’s newest travel expansion projects within a short duration, the country is well on its way to create benchmarked travel experiences.
