Qatar Airways announces codeshare partnership with Deutsche Bahn

All those traveling to Germany with Qatar Airways can now easily explore the country’s different cities on the Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) network.
This has been made possible following a new codeshare agreement between Qatar Airways (QA) and the German Railways.
The airline announced the codeshare agreement yesterday, saying the deal will allow QA travelers entering Germany via its Frankfurt gateway to enjoy seamless connections to and from eight key destinations in Germany.
Deutsche Bahn is one of the largest railways operators in Europe.
Under its agreement with QA, DB will provide the airline passengers, entering Germany via Frankfurt, the opportunity to easily connect to other German cities including Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Hannover, Leipzig, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Munich, and Hamburg.

Commenting on this significant agreement, HE Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker said the partnership further cements Qatar-Germany relations.
“We have witnessed significant growing demand between Germany to Qatar and beyond, “ he said.
“Our new codeshare destinations not only meet that demand, but provide a service for our valued passengers in Doha, and from dozens of destinations globally to new, exciting places to explore in Germany,” Al Baker added.
Commending the longstanding Rail&Fly cooperation with QA, Berthold Huber, Member of the Management Board for Passenger Transport of Deutsche Bahn said, “The Qatar Airways and Deutsche Bahn codeshare offers our joint customers a seamless, easy and flexible journey to and from different German cities.”
Qatar’s national flag carrier, QA presently offers 35 weekly flights to and from Doha to German destinations: Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin.
A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards.
