In a delightful announcement made by Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) secretary-general and Qatar Airways GCEO His Excellency Akbar Al Baker, relatives and friends of Qatar residents will be able to enjoy visa-free visit to Qatar during the ‘Summer in Qatar’ festival.

Unveiled yesterday at a press conference held in Sharq Village and Spa, the exciting ‘Summer in Qatar’ program will commence on June 4 and last until August 16, during which visitors to Qatar can benefit from visa-free entry.

“Citizens and residents of Qatar can bring, invite their relatives and friends, any other guests hassle-free into the country during the summer festival,” Al Baker said on the occasion of the program launch.

The festival, which is organized by QNTC collaboratively with more than 35 public and private partners, is dubbed as Qatar’s biggest and boldest summer program.

It will feature a wide range of exciting indoor activities and thrilling outdoor experiences, coupled with entertainment programs that will see local, regional and international artists perform in the country among other activities focused on edutainment, summer and sports, travel promotions, and hospitality and shopping discounts.

“We will even attract families and friends of people living in Qatar and make for them visa free arrival at the Hamad International Airport,” Al Baker told reporters at the press conference.

From May 15 onwards, Qatar Airways will offer a discount of 25 percent on all flights to Doha from more than 160 destinations worldwide, for travel to Qatar anytime between May 30 to August 16, 2019 among other travel offers.

“Aviation and tourism go hand in hand, and this year, we are leveraging the collaboration between these two sectors to offer travellers airfare discounts, promotional travel packages, and exceptional airport experiences throughout the summer,” Al Baker said.

“Whether they are passing through, visiting friends and family or remaining in Qatar, visitors will experience Qatar anew,” he added.
