We asked QIC about travel season, unexpected problems one could face during a trip, and the importance of having travel insurance in such cases. 

You might think, “What’s the worst that could happen when travelling? I’m always cautious and prepare for everything beforehand.” This article is here to answer this question and help you understand that the unexpected might happen even while being extra careful. 

Without further ado, here’s what QIC says about potential travel risks:

Trip Cancellations 

Life is uncertain, and so are travel flights. Imagine this: You’ve booked a flight, packed your bags, and ensured everything is in order. Suddenly, you receive an email from the airline that they’ve cancelled the flight due to weather conditions. Even worse, maybe you’ve decided to cancel your flight due to an unexpected family emergency. How frustrating would that be? News flash: it happens! 

Here’s where travel insurance comes into play, according to QIC. In such cases, your insurance can cover your non-refundable expenses so that nothing has gone to waste.

Unexpected Health Problems
