Greece

Dreaming of European summer vacation? Greece is now welcoming tourists to its white-washed island and culture-filled city.

Greece has included Qatar among the green list countries that are exempted from quarantine. 

Travelers from Qatar will be required to fill out a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) and submit it at least 24 hours before departing to the country.

Athens is one of the oldest European cities which is worth exploring. Qatar Airways is now flying daily to Athens.

From cobble-stone streets to glistering beaches, Mykonos has got it all. Qatar Airways now operates three-weekly flights to this gorgeous Greek island.

Holidays

Travelers will be required to conduct a PCR test 72 hours prior to traveling and present a negative test result upon arrival at the airport.

Proof of a negative test is not required if the traveler has recovered from COVID in the past 9 months, which can be proven through a certificate of recovery.

Travelers are required to undergo a rapid COVID-19 test at Greek airports upon arrival and will be subject to mandatory quarantine if tested positive.

France

Starting June 9, France will be allowing fully vaccinated travelers from Qatar with a valid visa to enter without quarantine upon arrival.

The "reopening of the French borders" is in light of the improvement of the situation in both France and Qatar, the French embassy tweeted on Sunday.

Under 'Advice for Travel to France', the French embassy added, "As of 9 June, Qatari or third-country travelers from Qatar, if they already have a fully valid visa and are otherwise fully vaccinated, may re-enter France without quarantine upon arrival." 

"Upon departure from Qatar, presentation of evidence of a complete vaccination cycle: two weeks after the second injection of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccine; four weeks after the injection of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; two weeks after single injection for those with a history of COVID-19,” the embassy added.

Additionally, travelers will be required to present a "negative PCR test of less than 72 hours or a negative antigenic test of less than 48 hours" upon departure.

"For those who do not already have a fully valid visa, the embassy is working to reopen the visa service in the coming weeks, with no date at this stage," the embassy added.

Spain

Spain opens its borders to vaccinated travelers from most countries including Qatar on Monday, June 7.

In order to enter Spain, visitors must present proof of vaccination, need to be vaccinated at least 14 days before the trip, or proof that they have overcome COVID-19 infection in the last six months.

As per the government, certificates can be in Spanish, English, French, German, or their equivalent translations in Spanish.

The vaccines accepted are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson as well as two Chinese vaccines authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO), Sinopharm and Sinovac.

All travelers arriving in Spain including those arriving in transit to other countries must complete a health control form prior to departure through the website: www.spth.gob.es by downloading the SpTIL-Ilealth application Travel -Spain available on Android and iOS Certificate data must be filled out on the website.

Turkey
