In Qatar as well as some other countries in the Middle East recruiters look for two m-a-j-o-r things:
1. Applicant's nationality
2. Applicant's religion
Educational qualifications, years of experience, nature and attitude, dynamism, languages know etc. are all immaterial.
Just recently I came across an ad at QL job section which stated "Filipino ONLY" with the word "only" written in bold letters. I also saw another ad for "flyer distributors" and for this simple job vacancy. the employers stated "only people from Kerala." Some nationalities fine-tune the applications to their own provinces.
